Today, a significant agreement was reached as the Minister of Education and Sports, Ogerta Manastirliu, and the President of the Presidency of the Higher Education Council of the Republic of Turkey, Prof. Dr. Erol Özvar, formalized the “Protocol between the Ministry of Education and Sports of the Republic of Albania and the Presidency of the Higher Education Council of the Republic of Turkey for the opening of the programs of Istanbul Technical University in Albania.”

The joint protocol was signed in the context of the visit of the President of the Republic of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, to our country.

This protocol represents a significant advancement in the bilateral relationship between Albania and Turkey with regard to higher education and scientific research
The collaboration will be formalised through the signing of an agreement that will determine the functioning of this university programme in Albania.
